me and you, you and me..., was it just me or was there a definite rasta influence at play here.
Also, was this the show with the magic pencil with the light on the end teaching people how to write. 'Up and down... etc'

Was that the show with two monkey like things called Cosmo & Dibbs ... or am I just having yet another one of those unsettling flashbacks about something that never actually existed.

It was called You and Me

There's an RM file on this site
SMALL KIDS' infotainment presented in classic era by one of the following: a) stop-motion duo of hamster ("Alice") and hyperactive crow ("Crow"). A+C did a sort of running commentary on some footage of real life kids doing mundane stuff (going to the doctor/library etc.), with Crow the impatient uncomprehending stooge and Alice the knowledgeable one calmly explaining everything; b) the clackety-mouthed Duncan the Dragon. The human presenter would be chat in the studio with Duncan sitting on his wall, there'd be a story, with, again, frequent interruptions/questions from Duncan etc. Basic stuff, still going today in some bastardised form, alas, featuring lame puppet things Cosmo and Dibs and reggaefied theme by UB40.
