I'm reformatting, how do I export everything in Thunderbird please, I don't want to have to teach it what junk mail is again.

This is a less than subtle way, but it works.

Go to c:\my documents and settings\<your profile name here>\application data\thunderbird

You may need hidden folders to be shown.

You'll find a profiles directory, inside of which will be another directory with a random name. Copy the contents of this to somewhere safe. Once you've reinstalled thunderbird, run it once to create a new randomly named profile, then exit. Go to the same directory as before and replace the contents of the new profile directory with the contents you've saved, keeping the new profile name. I'm sure there must be a tool or better way but as I said it does work.

I'll give it a shot, that folder is pretty large, 750meg, I couldn't have that much email in there

It'll also include all newsgroups messages and any other settings, folders and whatever else may have been in there.
