How many people here think that Glenn Crowe should have a place on the ireland squad? It was mentioned that the best way to play for this country is to play outside it. Personally i think it's ridiculous that the FAI player of the year and the highest league scorer doesnt get a trial even.

    What do ye think?

Might be something to do with the National League's amateur image and the fact that most of the other teams are comprised of semi-skilled donkeys.

Oh, and the fact that most of the teams in the lower half don't have more than a handfull of full time players.

He can't play for ireland i mean he was born and lives in Ireland

An actually Irishman playing for us! Thats CRAZY TALK

That would be like a french guy playin for france (apart from Barthez but he dosn't count coz he has no hair)

Lets get back to basics Niall, the ball is round

Ehm. I think if you actually take an interest in football youll find that most of the Irish team are irish born now.
The french comment smacks of racism to me.

I think theres virtually no chance of Glen gettin a run out in a competion game unless we were to loose most of our strikers to injury for some reason (not gonna happen). The best he can hope for is some frienly game performances which if he does well in might be a way into the squad. There will be a lot of eyes on him this this weekend in the FAI Cup Final so you never know. Hope to see all you bohs fans there when we do the double :-D , tickets £15.

Mick McCarthy does the same as every English team manager before Sven Erikson, and thats sniff around the premiership in the hopes of getting a job there when the international clock runs out.

The man who managed Milwall to the edge of relegation has never been closer to the bright lights of ManU and co. so he will not choose a national league player unless he has absolutly no choice.

Well he is training now witht he Irish team. I maybe should not eat my words, but nibble them abit around the edges. Robbie Keane is injured so he has very little choice. Will Crowe get a run out in the actual game? Have to wait and see.

No, he was offered a training session on the saturday that he's leaving for a ten-day holiday to america. He wont take it unless he's offered a place on the team.

And both Robbie Keane and Niall Quinn are in danger of missing the next match because of injury...
