Blurred picture with RGB ?

I have two satellite recievers (Digibox and FTA) a DVD recorder and a Super VHS recorder connected to a Cheapo widescreen TV via SCART cables

With the Sat boxes outputing a composite signal the picture is OK but not spectacular but when I switch to RGB mode the picture is pretty blurry and fairly unwatchable.

Is there any particular reason why this may be so (such as the fact that the TV is a cheapo supermarket brand Akura ATP TV028WSS) Ive tried different types of SCART lead and different configurations of equipment but with no effect

Are you sure the scarts are going into the designated RGB enabled scart inputs on your TV?.

Often, TV's only have 1, sometimes 2 RGB enabled scarts.
If your lucky, it will have 2 and then you can decide whether you want the satellite receivers or the DVD/VHS to get the better RGB picutre.

Also the satellite receivers may only have 1 RGB output. So consult your manuals and look for the RGB scarts, theres usually a diagram of the back of the machine in every instruction manula.

Then make sure your TV is getting RGB in.
Other than that, remember that the RGB is often a seperate channel on a TV, i.e you might havbe AV1, AV2, F-AV and alot of times RGB.
So, all the colour and contrast settings might be off from what you usually watch, though i'm sure you will have checked this. Store the new settings if they make a difference.

Check in the picture settings for the picture tiny, often warm, cool and normal.
I always set it to normal.
