    Fine here in Sligo anyways.

Maybe early effects of the upgrading process. 20 seconds to 2 minutes downtime, my arse!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 437 ✭✭Spunj

Yep, been down since 4ish here too. I rang and they told me that the server at South Dublin is down and they had no ETA on a fix. I've had to use a modem to connect :/

Heh yeah, I am lucky theres one built into my laptop as I gave the modems I had away. My brother is on UTV and his BB is also down, looks like anyone connecting thru the downed server regardless of ISP has lost their connection too.

Ripwave in Dun Laoghaire was down for me for the first time ever, at around 4.30pm this afternoon. I got no signal at all from the Killiney Hill transmitter. I always have gotten a constant red light at the aerial and 3/10 signal strength and between 5 and 6/10 on the signal quality on the Navini Diagnostic app. It came back just as suddenly as it had disappeared within an hour... I don't have a phone line so I'm happy enough with Ripwave (till the next best thing comes along)

Heres an update from UTV Rep Carl:
After checking with support there's a BB outtage in Dublin (Dolphin's
Barn exchange). The guys in support raised a ticket with Eircom (they
were already aware of the problem) over it earlier tonite. Not sure on
the status of this right now - hopefully it's back up and running ?

Well I'm in Blackrock, Co. Dublin and we have full power out here. Sounds like ithe outage is limited to the north side of the city. Don't suppose anyone knows if Eircom are upgrading the upstream speeds as well as the downstream?

The Dolphin's Barn BAS went down this afternoon at some stage and last I heard it would be fixed late early Sunday morning (the engineers will work through the night on it).

I stand corrected, seems it's back up is it?

Sutton exchange in D13 has been running all day, bar about 1 drop for a second earlier for me. However, it has been quite slow over the past few days I've noticed. IOL BB+ here.
