Thinking of buying in Kinsaley

Does anyone know anything about Kinsaley!!! Is it quiet, is it big etc.

Have seen a few houses round that area and, with 2 of us working in Dublin and with 7 month old son, we want to be as close to town as we can afford.

Apparently it is pretty close to Malahide and Portmarnock for the Dart and Swords for the shopping?? (We currently have a house we could sell for €250k and are hoping to get one for around €290k - 300k max)

If not Kinsealy then does anyone else have any ideas for areas reasonably close to town? (dont say Swords my wife is pathologically opposed to it!!)

I know it well. Nice and quiet. It's handy for the M1, Tesco at Clare Hall, the Pavilions and the M50. Plus it has its own school. On the Malahide Road between Balgriffin and malahide. You are also relatively close to Portmarnock DART station and there are two buses 42 and 43. Watch out for any houses in Kinsealy that claim to be "Malahide". You'll pay a premium on that. Overall nice place to live. Unlikely you'll find much cheaper closer to town. If you were looking at cheaper I would suggest Lusk , Skerries or Balbriggan , much further out but they are on the train line and have a NiteLink.

    Hi,
Ive been living there for the last 3 years. The bus service is a bit poor but other than that its a nice place. 5 Mins away from the beach and malahide castle, without the crazy prices of malahide. 3 mins away from the pavilions in swords, perfect for the weekly shopping.
Most estates in the area are nice and the ppl friendly. Local shop looks a bit ruff but the rumour is that its all being knocked down soon, so there is no maintance being done.

    good luck.

Be aware that Kinsealy and Kinsaley are separate places (about 2km apart), one on the Malahide Road, the other on Feltrim Road.
