congrats to our two regulars who made it to the final table and got a couple of grand for their troubles. Shoulda got more but the outright winner who got 11,500 was too far ahead and the blinds were murderous. Congrats to Joe who got 5,500 for 2nd. It was a turkey shoot and he kept his head down the best and luckiest.
Its annoying to get so close and not get 4-5 grand but what can u do. At least u didnt get knocked out in 11th like that schmuck and get 70 euro for your troubles. What's his name...? oh yeah, me.

Wasnt KenCleary but still well done Dave, Ive finally gotten over my bad beat that saw me go out on the bubble. My AA walked into JJ only for the Jacks to make a straight, then shoved my last chips (just over the big blind) in with TT only to come up against aces

This was the €270 game right? I thought the payout went down to 18th or something? How come 11th paid so small?

Well done Dave, 4th Final table this week ? I'll be avoiding your table in the future !

Well done lads, I had a feeling Dave would go the distance! Went out in 24th (I think) when I was forced all-in with 3xBB holding A5 off. Another shortstack went with me, as did table chip leader. Fellow shortstack turns over A5 to block, chip leader has KK and cleans up.

Good tournament, blinds were a killer. Had to play / steal a lot to keep your head above water. Hard luck Oscar. Don't think I can face the scalps tonight, will have to take a few day's poker break. Maybe that's the April Fool in me talking :)

Ummm imagine my surprise to wake up this morning to find out I made the final table of the €270 despite not playing the game. So unless i'm having some kind of Fight Club like experience i'm afraid you've got the wrong guy :)

It's getting weirder by the minute. You even had KK lose to AA. Sounds very like you.

    Thanks lads

It was a very interesting game to play in. The chip leader had so many chips at the final table that he actually made me make a huge laydown preflop. I was a bit disappointed with the finish JJ v KT with Joe's KT hitting a house.

I must say Ive had some run the last few days with a ticket for last night from last thursday, 7th on Sunday, 9th on Tuesday and the 5th last night.

Anyone want a piece of me for tonight??? ;)

I'll probably not get a final table now for the next 6 months.

Hard luck to bohsman, doc and ionapaul.

Iona - it was Kevin Maloney who had A5 with you - he finish 9th in the Irish Open last week.

Dave, was the eventual chip leader the older gent who was seated directly to my right on table 2, who often took an age to make his decisions? The only real mistake I made all night was laying down my KQ suited to his large raise pre-flop. I am sure I would have been behind, but probably not by much, and also knew I had to go all-in within the next five hands anyhow. Thought about that decision on my lonely, empty-pocket drive home...

Hope you go the extra mile and get to 1st tonight - keep the final table a boards-only affair :)

No, his name is Des. He was the KK v A6 that did me the damage. He eventually got 3rd. The chip leader was a guy with a check shirt and a gold chain with dark slicked hair. Sorry cant remember his name.

We had 44% of the final table on Tuesday, and a few times over the past month we have had 33%

Fair play to everyone last night, it was a good game. I got knocked out in 35th i think. Never really made much of an impact on the game. Kept on getting terrible cards and just had a pretty bad night overall. Had a bit of luck in that I sold a ticket for 200euro and then turned that into 300 thanks to the roulette wheel. As for the poker.... maybe next time.

Sorry Ken, wrong ken, the Ken who played last night used to work for the Star and now plays a Whole lot of poker.

I'm all pokered out. Done. To go from chip leader on 3rd last table to out in 11th tells u what the blinds were like. Hard luck Oscar, horrible beat for the bubble.

Have a couple of issues with the inexperience or lack of attention paid by a couple of the dealers which I definitely won't go into here (!) or ever! But a general pointers list should be given to the new dealers about taking their time and doing things to the letter especially when the bigger games are breaking down to the final tables.

Please don't jump down my throat for writing the above sentance. I have already spoken to Luke about the specific issues that I encountered in the night. Considering how much money is at stake it's very importany for newer dealers to take their time and to be as inconspicuous and professional as possible.

Please don't name anybody or ask me who I'm refering to. I'm just saying that it's an issue that needs to be addressed. By the way, Liz on the final table is a great dealer and I wish she had have been there for me earlier.

it's a cruel game alright. i'm off to detox my brain. good luck tonight dave. d.

Slow night for me last night. Won 200 credit in the freeroll, scraping my way into position and the rest of the night was much of the same. Only one hand of note in the €250.

Blinds were 75/150, 2 limpers I'm in mid position with about 4300 and find pocket queens. Raised it up to 500 folds around to utg limper who makes it 1500. Back to me and I'm really unsure what to do. He was a young player that I have no experiance of. If I flat call there's no flop that i want to see apart from one containing a queen so that was out of the question. Or I could bite the bullet and go all-in. I decided to lay it down
as it was still early in the game and didn't need to take the chance that had limped with Aces or Kings. Is it a case of me becoming a total rock or do you think it was a wise laydown?

After that I think Pokar was punishing me for not gambling and the next 2 hours was a succession of total junk. Ended up going out around 45th when i moved all-in with barely 3 times the BB, QJ of clubs against sixes. I about a million outs on a flop containing 2 clubs but no joy.

So tight bastard or good lay down you decide?
