    Hi.

I used to have an iBook G3 900 Mhz, its my dad's now, but point is i installed PearPC on my Dell laptop and have it running OS X Panther, its running quite well actually at 1 Ghz!! But I was hoping to install some software from the software restore discs that came with it, but they wont work. I get a message saying, i have the wrong cd in or that it wont work on this model of computer !?!
Anyone know why this is happening and of anyway around it?

Restore CDs are tied to the particular model they shipped with. You could try to get someone here to send you copies (not illegal, shirley?).

Best of luck - I've been looking for restore CDs for an 867MHz Titanium PowerBook for a long time.

can't remember if we've had this conversation beofre, but I have restore CCDs for an 800MHz TiBoko. Any use I wonder?

I don't think they are tied to a particular model, or manufacture date, my os x setup cd's from my ibook have been installed on a 17in power book, and work fine, have you tried creating a .img file from them and installing it that way through pearpc boot up?

All else fails download gnu-darwin for x86 and user KDE or Gnome, its a good alternative, mac os x stability with a linux look, can be bit of a bitch to configure though...
