    most pcs use "kettle leads" some have an extra piece that needs to be cut out (easy) but be sure they are rated to 13A. Euro/pound shops may have them, theres one on mary street which does lots of electrical stuff

    go to radionics (or similar) and buy the IEC plugs, get a few meters or suitable electrical cable , some plugs and make them up. Will probably be a LOT cheaper and you can make them to the exact length you need.

    Ta for the responses .. I need them on an ongoing basis for PCs, monitors, amplifiers, and various electrical/electronic equipment.

    I tried the radionics search and couldn't find the plug on it's own.. and the leads were all just over a fiver ex VAT.

    Cheers

    I *think* ITDirect on Parliament Street have them, at a not-bad price.

    It is what it's.

    radionics are a rip-off. if you dont mind used ones i would try a pc recycling centre, they must be flooded with them, i have seen batches of them in skips before.

    Any place that buys new kit in bulk will be dumping them.
    I know our cs dept dumped dozens of them a few months ago.

    Try ringing colleges, they may be happy to give them to you, given the restrictions on dumping stuff these days.

    IT Direct is the last place you should check for this kind of stuff. As someone above said.. Mary St. shops. Maybe even Argos

    I have a new bunch of these, spare from pc's.
    I'll let them go for a small charge.
    Let me know if you still interested.

    I can try get you a few they would be two pin at one end though.
    They come with product and we just buy the 3 pin ones on bulk instead of using the 2 pins so you can have what ever i can gather up for just the postage if you like?

    Almost every PC lead I've seen with a molded plug is rated at 5A
    and you'd have to buy fuses too..

    You can use a Kettle lead on a PC (change the fuse from 13A to 5A or 3A) but not visa-versa.

    @rubadub .. agreed

    @pan .. I'll give you 3 quid per plugged & fused lead, and will collect dublin area

    @SouperComputer .. will give them a shout .. they're the crowd on Cork St., right?

    @Asok.. ta .. but that'd be Plan B

    @KM .. no ta

    @Airwaves.. no .. not worth the hassle/shipping/risk

    @woody & ozmo .. any ideas of the names of those centres (so I can ring to avoid a wasted journey)?

    cheers again!
