Can anyone on Netsource access http://www.intel.com ?

I've been unable to access a few sites for some days now, but it may be just at my end.

OK - Now this is weird...

I can access it from one machine on the network but not the other...
    I tried 2 browsers (firefox 1.02 and ie6).

Must be my end of things...

Spyware or the like with it's claws into the machine.
    Have you scanned for spyware
What does running ipconfig /all in a dos window tell you?

do the lookups a take a few seconds when you ping in a dos window ?

I saw a machine infected with a dialler that behaved something like this
Assuming it's XP you may find some help here

Clean out your browser cache and try again - you'd be surprised... Give CCleaner a shot.

Yeah it would provisionally appear to be a software issue.

I have no other wireless unit to test the RF section of the router but I did flash it to the newest firmware.

What with it affecting both browsers I suspect windows as I've tried disabling anything else (antivrus, sw firewall etc) and attempting to ping intel.com doesn't even trigger Sygate to prompt me for permission (it does to boards.ie).

Oh well, I'll figure it out later.

    Cheers Lads.

If you use IP blocking SW like ProtoWall (with std IP filters) it will block a lot of HTTP access as well ..... so if you do, turn it of or clean the blocklist ;)

I'm on Netsource at home myself, and I've noticed that the pings have been very unreliable for the last few days. Something like the following

    22
    24
    26
    24
    160
    20
    25
    24
    180
    25

    etc.

    Anybody else have this problem?

look like nice pings to me, im normally 70+ on the 1mb dsl from netsource

    C:\>ping www.boards.ie

Pinging www.boards.ie [82.195.144.58] with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 82.195.144.58: bytes=32 time=65ms TTL=60
    Reply from 82.195.144.58: bytes=32 time=57ms TTL=60
    Reply from 82.195.144.58: bytes=32 time=58ms TTL=60
    Reply from 82.195.144.58: bytes=32 time=61ms TTL=60

    Ping statistics for 82.195.144.58:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 57ms, Maximum = 65ms, Average = 60ms

btw anyone know if the new bitstream products will have interleaving turned off?

Your dsl has interleaving fully enabled on it, and your pings are what I would expect.

My connection has low interleaving, and normally the ping to eircom.net or boards.ie would be a constant 21-23 ms.

    Thanks for posting though!

    I FIGURED IT OUT :)

    I was stoopid :p

Peer Guardian was running in the program tray, Intel is a listed spook.

Yeah as I said, "stoopid". I was looking for something less obvious and had associated (in my head, without thinking) PG with p2p and not security.

netsource and my pings been awful the past few days... spiking to 200 and 300 when gaming, even in the early hours of the morning....

Somethings definitely up with Netsource. Still spiking every 5 seconds or so. I called them to complain, and they said nobody else had called with a similar problem. I suggest everyone with the problem calls tech support :|
