Wep Cracking.

    Setting a wireless network up for a friend with wep key, is there any windows based program that can crack this, just outa my own personal interest wanna see will it.

    Tis possible alright , just not as easy as the media make out.

    You basically need a programme like airsnort and a packet sniffer (netstumbler and the like), then lots of patience. Its not easy to set up, i dont think there is a working windows version of any wep cracker , most are made for linux. More effort than i cared for to bother trying, unless anyone here knows an easier way ?

    will i no the likes of airsnort. but my centrino isent supported

    Intel's Centrino drivers don't let you capture packets passively under windows.

    I seem to be able to do this with linux drivers though.
