I've never used them, and wouldn't bother with them tbh. The reason why they make so much money is because there are a lot of desperae people out there looking for answers and reassurances.

Nah, I don't think they should be commended at all. No more so than the con man who cons an old age pensioner, by exploiting weakness, lack of understanding and trust.

Trust no one I guess. :)

But has anyone ever used one? Are you just giving an opinion or have you tried them and found them rubbish?

Some have good people on them, some have people that barely have a clue
and they are all really expensive.

you are better to go get your cards read where you know the charge up front.

Havent ever used them nor wouldnt recommend anyone to. They are in the same class as chat porn and ringtone subs on your mobile. Out to separate you from as much of your money as possible. The guy who runs Irish Psychics Live has enough cash to splash about hes bought one of the first commercial tickets to space ($200,000) The objective of the staff on these lines is to keep you on the phone as long as possible and get you to ring back till youre broke. I wonder how many of them are actually 'psychic' at all. Imho its a scam because this is an area that by definition cannot be regulated.

My mum has used one, and have I, and I have to say, the readings we got were pretty good... The psychic my mum got was very accurate, but however, I guess a good psychic on those psychic lines is like a needle in a haystack...

Katie, The service provided by the psychic lines fall under the caption of entertainment and thus are regulated hense for both security and regalatory needs they are recorded.

Irish Psychics Live (tm) have and still do hold a very shady name among practicing psychics, not only for buissness managment but also for the abuse that has at times tainted those who read not only as a financil income but a spiritual practice.

There are those who work on line that are genuine, and the same appllies to those who work localy but there are also those who do it souly for money, as always its best to truust your own instincts and seek out those who hold a genuine record of accurate insights.

    Love and light

Meant as in the quality of the information provided, many of those phoning arent there for entertainment, but for help. Otherwise, agree totally!

A friend of mine worked on one of those psychic lines in the UK. He has no psychic abilities whatsoever, had no interest in the field, was just hired to answer phone and give an automated reading.... I know they were recruiting one year at the mind, body and spirit festival here in Dublin, so I would say there are some genuine psychics answering calls. I would never use - waste of time, money and energy!

There was a journalist who conned his way into being a "real Psychic". Whatever that is it seems the psychic phone lines people couldnt tell he was NOT what he claimed to be. So if their standards are that way for him how do you know the rest arent like that?

By the way I haven't tried heroine either but I will accept the evidence that it is not a good idea based on what I have found out about it without having to take it.

As an addendunm I understand the chap who runs the show has got even more publicity by claiming he will be the first Irish astronaut.

Finally I have a problem about these lines which goes into other money making ventures. You may recall about a year or so ago Christian churches ran a campaign called "Power to change" which advised people to read the Bible. Now it turns out that they couldnt advertise this on TV. At the same time people can advertise tarot llines and psychic phone lines and all that sort of thing on TV. Doesn't that smack of double standards?
