I was just setting up my zone alarm for the first time yesterday and set all the programs I wanted to be allowed to access the net and so on.
But something like 'NetBIOS' tried to connect to me from the net and zone alarm stopped it.
Anyone know what this is ?

I also installed zonealarm yesterday for the first time. I had been meaning to install it for a while but the recent number of irc nukes, and scanning while on-line @ night has been ridiculous.

"NetBios (Network Basic Input/Output System) Software developed by IBM that provides the interface between the PC operating system, the i/o bus, and the network. Since its design, NetBIOS has become a de facto standard."

You should only be using TCP/IP to connect to the net so just leave it blocked.
