Anyone have driver for this Internal CardReader?

Have had a new laptop since December - a HP Pavilion ZV5000.

One of the accessories supplied with it was an Internal SD/MMC/MS/Pro/SM Card Reader but i've never really tried using it until recently when i tried to insert the 256MB SD card outta the digital camera.

The light on it lit up, so it obviously knew the card was inserted. But no new drive popped up or anything.

So, i went into Device Manager to see that dreaded yellow exclamation mark next to it. I clicked on it to get 'the drivers for this device are not installed'

The device is an 'Texas Instruments PCI-1620 CardBus Controller with UltraMedia.'

Had a look around the Web last night and couldn't actually find the drivers for it and don't wanna have to go trekking through a sh*tload of booklets and CD's to find an installation CD for it (if even one exists).

Anybody have the drivers for it, possibly someone with the same laptop? Quite likely as a mate of mine arrived back from New York with practically the exact same laptop... for 200 less!

    Excellent link there, JoePC.

Didn't even think of going to HP Tech Support.

    Thanks for that!

Hmmmm... that didn't actually work! :(

I installed the setup file from the page for the CardReader and it installed the drivers but gave me the error 'driver is not intended for this platform"

Weird one! Might give HP Tech Support a call in the morning..!

    It's XP.

And the drivers were for Win 2000 / XP... bizarre!
