ok... the other day I went to launch mIRC and my Norton anti virus told me that the mirc.exe was corrupted with the trojan... which it then tried to repair, couldn't an so quarantineed it where i deleted it...
i didn't accept any files via DCC recently or anything so I don't know where it came from...
Anyway, I deleted mirc from my computer, and re-installed it from the old download I had (probably since last july...)
    Again Norton stepped in....
So I deleted mIRC, and the old installer file, and downloaded a new one (a more up-to-date v5.81) and installed this without issue...

Is there anything else I should be watching out for...? Has this one ever affected anyone here...?
btw, my NAV 2001 has always been scheduled to live-update daily, and I have done full system scans since with nothing found...
    Ideas?
