Creating new gatering cards. What do you think?

I've done these two new gathering cards over the last two days. I'm posting them up for anyone to look at. Just wondering what people think as I have a few ideas for some more.

Yeah it is pretty good!!!

Both were created in photoshop CS. Used a blank slate from the gathering cards page and put them together. Took me about half an hour to put the cards together, needed to google a decent picture and look on some of the threads for a snappy punchline.

CuLT is the man to talk to about submitting these. I think he has a storeage place for all the cards so that they don't get lost as many have in the past.

oh and the reason the pictures dont show up is because the IMG tags are off in after hours

I like the card though.

I like the first one, and Moriarty is definetly in need of a card, but it just seems to be a riff on the 'Amps Moment Of Clarity' card with really excessive bonus points. +5 will suffice, really.

Well i've heard of amp's stating the obvious habit. I actually got the idea for the Moriarty card from the Amp's moment of clarity card but used that name for it as the alternative names were kind of crap. I may revise the card's if needed, I've saved the original templates in PSD format for if i wanted to re-edit them.

Your the first one to say anything negative about that one. I'm still looking for feedback on these things and will probably re-edit them if I can find something more appropiate or someone recommends a better image.

If you're looking for "appropriate" it's probably a good idea not to use pictures related to the masacre of thousands of students less than twenty years ago.

Your probably right, although I have to admit that I slapped that card together in less than a half-hour to flame that damn muppet, hence the choice of picture. In anycase what are your thoughts on the other ones?

One of the good things about the wiki is that I (and others) tried to put a backstory to the cards. Funny when released, but you get blank looks 6-12 months down the line when new people start.

I've actually sent some of them to CuLT to see what he thinks of them. I'll probably add a backstory to my own cards in the wiki if he's willing to host them with the other cards.

Thanks. BTW if anyone can spot a thread with some funny posts let me know as I may be able to create a card for it. Also if a flame war breaks out somewhere let me know of that too as I may be able to make a card on it too. I've got two cards ideas in the works at the moment "Golden troll award" and "SF Denial". I'll try and release at least 1 card every day until I run dry on ideas or hit a mental block.

to be honest, i think most of your cards are pointless.

the majority of cards in existance now, have a point to them. these just seem to be random cards for the sake of putting out some cards.

i mean, we know there are muppets and trolls about.

I think its an outrage I don't have a card, I mean ffs, I'm an integral part of this website.

Also, Im disappointed by a lack of Ronaldo77 or whatever card, he was fun.

Although people who post cards are really just using it as a substitute for originality to try and get a cheap laugh.
