    Hey folks!

Just wondering what the weather would be like in the Canaries towards the end of next month...

Thinking of going for a week around the 24th of April...

Would it be really quiet over there around that time?

    Any opinions appreciated guys... cheers!

My crystal ball is telling me that.....April will be hot and sunny! Seriously, I'd be surprised if it wasn't! Goin there in May myself. (BTW Trotter, didn't you go to Prague round the same time as me......and now the Canaries? Great minds, eh?)

Trotter, Im off to Lanzarote in the morning. Im just chipping away at my last few hours in work here. LET ME OUT SLAVE DEMONS!
25 degrees down there during the week. Just right imo. Id hate to have the holiday ruined by 30+ temps - pain in the ass.

Heres a summary of my week in Lanzarote (Puerto del Carmen).

It was my first sun holiday. All I can say is WOW! For those who have 2nd thoughts of going - just go. Believe me you wont regret it. If you can, do the "Grand Tour". Costs 50 quid and you get a guided tour of the island from 9 am to 6.30pm ish. The volcanoes are amazing. Fact: Planet of the Apes was filmed there.

I also went to "Rancho Texas". It costs 45 quis. Its a Western themed night at a Ranch. Drink and eat as much as you can all night. The room is devided into 4 sections, each section is assigned a leasder (cowboy/girl, indian chief etc.) Whichever section makes the most noise gets to eat first. (we won....SECTION 4...SECTION 4....SECTION 4). Theres a mechanical bull there (I lasted the longest). Great nights entertainment.

Everything is dirt cheap over there. Beer, fags and food (main course anywhere averages around 5 euro). Clothes are cheap enough, but the clothes shops are few and afr between. Try Biosfera shopping centre.

:D My preference was Lanzarote alright but Tenerife was way cheaper so took that instead. Heading off on Sunday week, April 24th which is also my birthday so that worked out well :D

I'll head to Lanzarote of you go to Turkey - tis a brilliant spot - heading back there in August - cant wait!!

I heard that Turkey was a good spot alright. Im looking for opinions here on nice holiday spots for the end of August.
Turkey was on my list tbh. ;)

Where in Turkey would you suggest? Is there any place in particular that is better than the rest?

I've only ever been to Kusadasi - most people go there or Bodrum or Gumbet - think they're all mostly the same... I have put my comments on this thread before if you'd like to check it out... I went in August myself and it was roasting - got up to 50 celcius one of the days - wasnt nice :)
