Problem with samba mp3 streaming

    Just moved from 2.2.22 to 2.4 kernel of linux on my fileserver and i keep getting breaks when i'm listening to mp3s.. divxs are unwatchable..

    so the problem seems to be that the server isn't buffering enough or something. I added the following lines to /etc/samba/smb.conf , but to no avail:

    SO_RCVBUF=8192
    SO_SNDBUF=10240

    anyone have any ideas?
