    what does it take to get a copyright on your website like that? can you just write it on or do you actually have to get a copyright somewhere.. and where do you get that copyright?

    Anything original that you create is automatically copyrighted to you. This message is now Copyright 2001 beaver. It's automatic, you don't need to apply for copyrights.

    Yeah, what beaver said, anywork which you have created yourself is automatically copyright you, even if you don't say it on your site.
