Wearing jeans on long journeys gets so uncomfortable. What would be the ideal thing to wear, and where could I get it? Like some nice soft trackie bottoms. I can't get O'Neills as they don't sell them in england. Any suggestions? Or does anyone know where to get tracksuit bottoms that are in the same kind of material as hoodies? I saw some in River Island the other day but went back and the colour I wanted was gone.

What about a skirt or loose jeans? Tracksuit bottoms don't look good.

No way would I get up and wear a skirt at 5am. I mean the cute tracksuit bottoms, like these types of trackies. I think they look pretty cute and would be nice to be in for a long period of time.

  • I don't think tracksuit bottoms always look knackery. Like everything,I think it depends on the person wearing them. The pair you posted is cute and looks comfortable. I would rather be in them for long periods rather than jeans. There are some like that in Penneys (and I assume in Primark since you're in England) and they often sell stuff like that in New Look.

My wife got some Reebok ones from the Rathdowney Outlet centre in Laois maybe TXMaxx might have some that look nice, small logos etc.
How about the type that outdoor stores sell? they are pretty good for that kind of stuff, Its not all that rock-climbing type gear.

Those ones you posted look great on a girl who has a nice a$$.. If you've got one get them. But I think for guys, who are prolly gonna see this thread, I recommend either a pair of Road chords, or a pair of tracksuit bottoms. Nylon ones can be so comfy, although be careful not to looks like a knack.

You sometimes see British tourists heading off on package holidays in guy-girl coordinating tracksuit type outfits. I think it looks a bit knackery, combats might be best......

I wear my fave pair of jeans on long haul flights....they're comfy. Wore tracksuit bottoms once and felt like such a knacker

I'm not planning on matching my outfit with anyone else's and I'd hardly call myself a knacker.

I just feel like my jeans are too restrictive and would like something else to wear. Combats wouldn't be too bad because of all the pockets and general bagginess. I think I'm going to go for the cute, girly tracksuit bottoms though. I can just laze around the airport in them and who cares if I look like a slob?

Don't forget that it can actually be quite cool on-board the plane. Returning from the US last week, I had to get a blanket from the stewardess to stay warm, on top of my jeans/t-shirt/sweatshirt.

Saw some nice tracky bottoms in Topshop the other day. Try sports shops, most of the big brands do nice girly stuff as well.
