Selling on ebay,

has anyone had any problems signing up to sell on ebay. i already have an account topurchase goods, and i went to sell an item, i signed in with my username and they wanted credit card details, i gave 'em but then a page appears that teslls me to go and create a seller's account. where do i do this?

its my fifth time tryin this week.

Yes, there is an issue on the eBay site affecting all non-UK users who wish to set up sellers' accounts. This is being worked on at the moment. Unfortunately there's no timetable as to when the issue will be resolved.

i had this problem today when setting up a sellers account, are they banning non UK sellers, I know they've had problems with Africa/Nigeria Scam email stuff, I don't see how this would help, I also got an email about 20 minutes later supposedly from ebay saying my account was suspened, it was one of those scam/spam/spoof email things, how did they get my email address, my email address has only been active for 9 days, someone must have hacked ebay's servers to get my information that quick. Weird! :mad:

eBay are not banning non-UK sellers. There's just an issue with the seller verification system that they're still working to resolve.

People can receive spoof emails for any number of reasons. It can happen because of spyware on one's computer or spammers guessing one's email address.

There was no spy wear on the computer i was using, it was also very heavily firewalled, and the email address isn't the easiest to come up with.
i've used ebay for years and i've never had this many problems or ever had a spoof email, but, that's life online I suppose.

I thought I was the only one. Went bezerk trying to setup a seller's account.

Went to the 'create seller account' page, filled in details, accepted tos, then told to 'you need to create a seller account first' - well what tha hell do ya think I'm tryin' to do!! :mad:

Oh yeah, forgot to mention here...if you want to set up a seller's account on eBay, write to their customer support and ask them to make an adjustment to your account to allow you to sell. They'll email you back and let you know when that's been done. If you're living outside the UK, this is what you need to do at the moment to set up a seller's account.

Corrrect, this has been going on for a while now and its still being worked on but should be sorted out fairly soon.

its not that im lazy, but can you gimme this email address? i dont wanna think i've found the correct email address and end up wasting even more time . cheers
