Go for the Samsung SP1614C 160GB SATA drive. I have 2 and they have never failed. I think they are €80 odd from JES. Well worth it.

Have a samsung and maxtor, samsung is the more quiet one and hasnt failed yet :D the maxtor did :( but got replaced and so far so good.
I think one of the stickies covers harddisks for performance and noise comparison.
Also try www.komplett.ie (last i needed a hd they where cheapest)
Re Jes and payment they do banktransfer which takes a few days to clear and a week or so for delivery, for me anyway last time.

Seagate Barracuda is probably the quietest hard drive your yoyos can buy!! :D

You could also order from Elara and go pick the items up at their premises and pay cash. Pretty handy if you don't have a credit card and are near Dublin.
