Server migrations are active in America, not in Europe yet, but at least we can read about the policy. Looks like it's only 1 high pop server at the moment, and you dont get a choice of where to go though ...

    I especially like the
    Can my entire guild move?
Yes, however in order to move, guilds will have to disband and reform on the new realm. In addition, guild leaders cannot transfer to the low-population realms unless they transfer leadership to another guild member or disband the guild.
    er so that's a no.

ah no, thats fine. Its easy to re-establish the guild on the new server, but if you cant pick the server, its just pointless for anyone in a guild.

Well at least they are transferring all people from the same original server to the same new server. That way guilds can effictively move, and groups of friends can relocate easily without losing their characters.

That said, voluntary movement of characters mightn't help alot if people decide on not moving. If thats the case then the problem will not go away and Blizzard have some real problems to deal with, especially given how long it's taken for this system to be put in place.

I'd imagine what they might do first is offer voluntary movement to one particular server. People who are sick of queing for 30 mins (not sure if we have any servers like that, but for example), will move with their friends to a no queue server. Once all the people who have wanted desperately to move have moved, and if this still hasn't sorted the server loading, they may open up the option to move to other low pop servers.
