I saw my dead father !!!

    My dad died last year of a massive hearth attack, and it nearly kiied me too.
    A couple of months before he died i drempt my dad was going to die.
    I had a dream my dad had fallen down the stairs and broke his neck, it was one of them dreams that you think you can smell and hear everything , i heard his neck snap.
    I was really shook up about this dream so i told my mum and dad, but they just made me feel childish by laughing at me and it made matters worse for me.
    Days went by and i couldn't get the image out of my head, eventually i did.
    My dad died not long after that and i didn't know how to react, i was numb with fright.
    My mum was heart broken as well as family and close friends.
    We arranged the funeral and i spent most of the time back home living at my mums again, untill one night i went upstairs to have a shower and i went in to my mums bedroom to get changed, as i opened the door to head in to the shower i looked up and i saw my dad, it only lasted a split second but it frightened the **** out of me.
    He was smiling and looked they way i remembered him, it scared me at first but it felt good at the same time to see him again, even doe it only lasted a few seconds.
    Please tell me your thoughts on this, because i think about it every day, somtimes hopeing i could see him again.

    Firstly, dont let the dream you had upset you. It may have been a prediction, but it may not. It would not have changed what happened anyway, so maybe just let it go.

    I do think our loved ones can 'visit' as you described, and it does usually happen when we are unsuspecting, and as soon as we realise whats happening, its gone. Of course it was scary because its not something were used to, but your dad loved you in life, and wouldnt mean you harm or upset by this.

    You may see him again,or you may not, but dont chase shadows and live hoping you will. Just maybe accept that he wanted to pass on his love for you this way, and take comfort from it, and go on with living?

    Thank you Katie k, as i was reading that i felt like crying, that was great, just what i needed.
