Champions League on TV3

Packie Bonner and Mark Lawrenson were the experts on TV3's CL covergae last night. They were discussing how foreign teams play in their domestic leagues compared to when they were in CL action. Packie said something along the lines of "......compared to the teams here".

Can anybody confirm that the TV3 studio coverage takes place in Granadaland (Manchester) as opposed to Tallaght? It makes sense when you think about it as the majority (if not all) of the summarisers are UK based.

Although you wouldn't expect them to explicity state where they are broadcasting from, I would assume that the majority of TV3 viewers would assume they were broadcasting from Dublin.

And a final question; does it really matter?

I watched it on Sky because I can barely put up with Niall "sit on the f-ing fence why don't you" Quinn but there is no way I'll listen to Trevor "Thats good play" Welsh if I have an alternative.

A Few years ago Welsh said that there had been only 4 winners of the Champions League in its 10 year existence, Juve, Real and Ac three times each and Man U the other time !!!!!!
A few nights later myself and a friend spotted him in Raynards and pulled him up on this statement, asking "What about Ajax, Bayern and Dortmund?" He Said "I just say what comes down the wire", we said "Did they ever tell you you're an idiot !!" :)

I don't have much time for TV3 but I think their Sports Analysis comes from Dublin. (I am sure their not that bad.)

It they got if from ITV they would just retransmit whats on ITV and their commentary.

Yes, while I know there are plenty of jobs out there, It is still important to keep jobs in Ireland.

If fat and stupid was a ratings winner I'd put Trevor Welsh up against the Superbowl.

Derry City FC - top of the league.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. Might not get the opportunity again for a while.
