Moments That Make Up A Lifetime

Why is it I try to deny,
Everything I am & not ask why,
When I'm born to live & then die,
It's the in between,
Made up of a string of moments,
Every day until the end a bonus,
Sit back & take it in & notice,
We can have everything,
When we take what's owed to us,
Humanity,
this life some call a condition,
On some level some call it a vision,
Some see it as having a spiritual experience,
I see it as a spirit having a humman experience,
Not much left that can break or faze me,
Little more I can go through to make me crazy,
Been to many places,
seen so many faces,
Done so many things,
Blessed by my own graces,
The baseless accusations of what I done wrong,
No allowance for experience as my life goes on,
Or am I meant to go along with the status quo,
Live by your sets of rules to stifle my growth,
While they're playing checkers I'm playing chess,
Take my time with my moves to guarantee success,
Minimise the stress in this life I lead,
Maximise the gain supported from my beliefs,
And though I grieve for friends that pass,
Everyone is aware life's not meant to last,
I take a chance,
As I seek a new beginning each new day,
Different day, same game,
you make the rules, so play.
