two tough questions

    Sorry if it causes offense.

    TWO TOUGH QUESTIONS

    Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally ******ed, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before looking at the answer for this one.

    Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates.

    Candidate A -
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists.
He's had two Mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

    Candidate B -
He was kicked ou t of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

    Candidate C -
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your Choice?

Decide first, no peeking, then scroll down for the answer.

Candidate A: is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
    Candidate B: is Winston Churchill.
    Candidate C: is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, the answer to the abortion question: If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.

Never be afraid to try something new.

    Remember:
    Amateurs built the Ark

    Professionals built the Titanic

and in case you never saw this one..! ....

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

    * 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
    * 7 have been arrested for fraud
    * 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
    * 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
    * 3 have done time for assault
    * 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
    * 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
    * 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
    * 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
    * 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

    Give up yet?

It's the 435 members of the United States Congress. The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Question 1: The chances of that freak having Beethoven is very unlikely....especially in this day of more modern medicine/delivery proceders. kick her in the belly

Question 2: If those were the only critearia available for my vote, and i HAD to vote, then 3 (hitler) would obviously be the choice...no one ever told me he had world domination plans, and was the worst human being in recorded history. But my initial reaction would have been not to vote...none of them sound good.

The congress one?? That can't be right, there has to be 1 with a clean past, not EVERY politician is corrupt beleive it or not, many of them must over-lap/be george bush alone.

Very good thread though :) interesting.

Question 1 - No I wouldn't *recommend* it. Obviously it's up to those involved (mommy and daddy Beethoven). Free choice though, it should still be an option.

Question 2 - Candidate C sounds too straight for me. He's obviously got problems imo. Why was Candidate B kicked out of office? And a quart of whisky sounds a bit much. Think I'll go for Candidate A.

Well I could never vote for a vegetarian. Candidate B sounds cool with the opium and the whiskey. At least he's normal!

    Well.. 'Irish' professionals anyway...

And you're just focussing on the negative. You never hear about the Titanic's sister ship, the Olympic... because it never sunk...

And you're just focussing on the negative. You never hear about the Titanic's sister ship, the Olympic... because it never sunk...

..thats because they swaped the Olympic for the Titanic because they Olympic had massive hull damage and was more or less unrepairable, and then sent the broken ship, albeit with a makeover as the Titanic out to sea, it sank they got a massive insurance claim and they were left with still one good **** the Olympic (or titanic if you prefer)........

.....everything is an insurance scam !!! :p

funny you should mention that...cause the olympic did sink and the titanic didnt...according to some theories (book written on it, think it might have been disproven by now)

and of course you never hear of titanics other sister ship Britannic...even though she did sink...

    DAMN YOU STATIC!

What? Hobbes.. get back here, you're powers are needed!

the book is called The riddle of the titanic.

during the 2nd trip down to the wreck there was confusion because the licence number to the titanic's screw (twirly thing that makes ship move) was wrong. While she was in drydock the Olympic (sister ship) was badly damaged and needed to have one of its screws replaced. Instead of waiting until a new one can be manufactured they took the screw from the unfinished titanic and put the repaired olympic screw on the titanic.

the serial number for the screw on the wreck is for the original ship. Which should be on the olympic. Hence the theory.

    Stalin for starters......
One single incidence of his stupidity had more casualities than Hitler in WW2- that being the famine he induced in 1933.
