Lingerie For G/F

Im looking to buy some sexy Lingerie for the girlfriend,and was wondering if people can give me tips best place to buy it,wanna avoid places like Anne Summers if at all possible,something a bit more classier than that....

Take a look in Ann Summers anyway, there stuff isn't too bad. I usually buy stuff from victoriasecret.com, they have some really nice stuff

I wouldnt know the difference personally but she seems to think Anne Summers is a "bit tacky" maybe ill check out that Victorias Secret unless anybody else knows somewhere else........

you wanna be very careful buying lingerie for the girlie...to risque and she'll think you thinks she's a tart....to conservative and she'll think you think she's boring. :eek:

Sod that how about making sure you get her sizes right.
Sizes, ie you are going to have to try get a look at a bra label for the size
and then a set of pants for her other size.

Avoid Ann Summers - it's cheap and tacky. VS has fabulous stuff, and quite reasonable too.

Don't bother with Agent Provocateur in BT - it's overpriced and not that nice. VS lingerie is a hell of a lot nicer, and hotter, and sexier.

watch out for the customs if you order from Victoria Secrets. Myself and my mum ordered about $100 dollars worth of stuff from there and got hit with about €50 worth on customs and taxes on top of that not to mentio nthe shipping costs!

I used to work in Ann Summers and while some of the stuff in there is very tacky some of it can be quite nice.

Try Knickerbox they often have lovely stuff, they're in the Stephen's Green Centre.

Watch out in BTs if she's an awkward size as they're not the best at stocking wide fitting backs ie 38+ or big cup sizes D+.

La Senza can have some nice stuff but again they can also do some terribly tacky stuff.

Do NOT be fobbed off by the shop assistant that the back size bigger down a cup size or that a back size smaller up a cup size will fit her just as well as her size..they don't! eg if she's 36C do not buy 38B or a 34D.

Arronotts do some really pretty bits and pieces. Ann summers is very classy when it comes to Lingerie, i got a beautiful corset for 45€

I have to recommend Splendour. I've bought from them many times, and their stuff is always beautiful. Well worth checking out

I got some stuff at Christmas from wowwoman.com. It's really nice. Or else Brown Thomas is your next best bet.

The best one you can go for is Victoria's Secret.

Ann Summers sell horrible, cheap, tacky items that I wouldn't even call lingerie!

Agent Provaceur in brown thomas is a must. Try Marks and Spencer, they have different ranges besides the granny knicker brigade. Ann Summers is overpriced tat, not even a tart with a heart would go there.

yeah i'll second dudara's Splendour recommendation, i ordered some stuff from there when she posted a link to the sale there about 2 months back. got some gorgeous stuff for very reasonable prices.

btw dudara did you notice the price differences between the currencies on the site? i saved about 15e because i placed my order in dollars!

Brown Thomas have a wide range of cute lingerie but they can be very expensive - Agent Provocateur tends to be quite sexy but you would be lucky to get a bra and undies set for 140 Eur! Love Kylie is another nice range. Do get your gf lingerie that is wearable!

Christ, itll take some nerve. You could look at it like buying a dirty mag.... stroll up to counter completely uninterested, be polite, be honest and dont let your voice quivver- They'll make bits of you.

I reckon it would be a nice touch to bring your girlfriend with you... an informed decision is a good one! Plus, you both get to find out a bit more about one another...

Taking your partner into the lingerie department is a good idea - she can tell you what she likes and you might even get to see her trying on some of the lingerie. Agent Provocateur in Brown Thomas is quite good and not that intimidating!
