I'm here using Reason at the mo. What exactly do you want to know? Are you using a MIDI Keyboard or are you using samples from the samples folders.

    Thanks..

Using .mid files importing them into the sequencer then mapping to the Redrum or NNXT was wondering if there is a generic Rock drum refill out there that I can accurately get a decent sound out.

Reason doesnt seem to map out too well on some midi files..

For example you may get a clap sound when you are supposed to be hearing a Tom or Crash etc....

    Cheers

Yeah I don't think the samples Propellerheads supply with the Reason package are Rock or Rock orientated. It's mostly Drum 'n Bass, Techno, Hip Hop etc. More electronic music. I'm sure downloading Rock samples is possibe.

When you're using the Redrum you can select a drum track and scroll through the samples using the arrow keys located directly beside the number of the track, and the folder symbol.

Weh, just realised that you can't import redrum patches into NNXT.

Can you make your own NNXT soundbank relative to what the midi should be? Open up the exclusive drums samples into NNXT. May take a while, I'm not sure what the generic midi codes/sounds are.

I downloaded a GM Refill for the NNXT here.

    GM Drumkit Refill
Granted you will have to register here first..

    From the Propellerhead forum.

ReDrum only responds to notes in the C1-A1 range, so your midi notes might have to be shifted to those key ranges. Your better option is to assign the MIDI track to a NN-19 or a NN-XT and just map the appropriate drum samples to each midi note. Imported MIDI files retain the tempo in which they were recorded or encoded. You can then simply speed up or slow down the tempo afterward.

I guess I will start using Drum Loops instead...

    Or am I missing something..
