    Hi,
I want to find a program that will allow me to record me talking as an mp3. I would prefer some freeware but any program will do :)

    Thanks

Anyone, Have done a search and found some programs but haven't had too much luck with getting them to work well.

Why don't you encode the resulting wav files as mp3 when your finished?

Okay, do you know of any good encoders, when I save the file as a wav it is too large to e-mail across, I assume a good mp3 encoder will also compress it

I'm currently using lame (on linux) for a project and it's great , really quick and nice compression, it comes in windows flavour too, haven't tried it but get it here.
