    in the last few days every time i log on to the internet I get a security alert.
    says it has detected and blocked intrusion attempt.
    something about an invalid sourse ip address
    0.153.0.4
    what is that and what am i supposed to do about it? :confused:

    I assume you've got Norton net security or a similar package. The package is blocking something that your browser is either trying to access or something/one that is trying to access your comp. Usualy a window will pop up asking you what you want to do; view it or ignore it. All viewing does is show you a world map and the source of the IP on it. Most of the time it is nothing to worry about and the firewall keeps you protected in any case.
    I don't know too much about IP addresses but that looks like it's something on your local machine maybe...?

    /edit If it is something on your local machine a full virus scan is probably a good idea as you may have been infected. Make sure your definitions are up to date then run a scan.
