I'm heading to the zanzibar tonight and have to get a loan to go out. I heard they sell some pints for €3. Is this true and what pints? Do anything to get out tonight and can't go too much over the budget. Cheers.

Maybe their are, possible on week days when the palce is dead, maybe on a limited small range of drinks. Point in, that a standard pint in their will cost over a fiver msot nights,

One of the worst places in Dublin...along with Coyote, Club M, Boomerang, Tramco, Fireworks, Market Bar.

There are quite a few places with 3 Euro pints including that place near Christ Church...what's it called??? Zen? Not the greatest pub, but miles above Zanzi'bad'.

k, i'll be safe and get a big enough loan then. Not exactly excited about going though, choice between this or staying in. Just did a search on this forum and found Tiger pint bottles for €3, anyone ever drink this?

if its like tiger u get in chinesse restaurants, its not bad...nothing to write home about but drinkable for €3 a pint

If you're that hard up, why not just sneak in a few bottles? Especially easy if you have some female mates with big bags. Otherwise, just stick a few down yer pants

I've bribed my mates to come over for a few cans before we go out so I can enjoy a good night out drinking proper drink (Carlsberg). Its the first lads night out we've had in about 3 months. :eek: Bloody woman. :mad:

I don't mind Zanzibar, its a watered down version of Cafe En Seine, but is it just me or the budweiser always a tad flat in there?

I clicked on the link to this thread because I thought it would be about the historic city of Zanzibar on the East coast of Africa.

Instead I find it's about the pretentious but seedy/sweaty Dublin bar of that name which sells horrifically overpriced piss-water lager and lethal sugar water alco-pop/breezer style "drinks" to vacuous loud-mouthed ****.

Such is life.

If you're aged between 18 and 21 avoid Zanzibar at all costs. I went there Friday week ago and it had to be one of the worst nights out ever and I was broke befroe the end of the night!

The place is sh*t with sh*t tasting pints, overpriced sh*t pints, sh*t music and sh*t women ...... er basically the place is sh*t.
