    Unlucky, man!

But don't feel too bad, if it is borked with no option of repair/replacement, you might consider donating it to one of the PSPHack projects. There's a good few at the moment, including trying to run games off the memory stick, emulator development, web browser dev and even PSPLinux.

I'd say these guys would appreciate having one to take apart so they could chop out some of the chips and try to read/manipulate them.

Donating? That's the equivelent of flushing it down the toilet..

But it's broken, better to get some good out of it's corpse rather than just having a stylish paperweight.

And anyway, I bet if these guys did develop emulators for the PSP you'd be the first one to download it!?

    I know I would!

I have a fairly good knowledge of electronics and a knack at geting them working when others say it is impossible to repair. I can take a look and fix/attempt to fix it for free for you?? PM me if interested.

psp-linux.org are lost up their own arses. The whole thing is "on hold" until a hack that works on all firmwares is released. Such a píssy excuse. The whole thing was dodgy from the start.

I did see some guy ona forum saying he'd managed to compile a linux kernel with the pspdev toolchain.
