Laos\cambodia-anyone been?

    Two of my mates and i were thinking of heading through Laos and Cambodia this summer- is it really as cheap as they say.
    have any advice. know any good places to stay or visit.

    I travelled through them both last year. Both amazing countries but both very different. Yeah it is really cheap in both, especially Cambodia since it is such a poor country. Any q's just ask.
    Luang Probang in Laos is a must by the way. I love this place so much. Its so so laid back and the people are so nice. The cakes are the best ever too! So many cake shops, yum.

    cake shops? dude you have cake shops in dublin.

    go to vieng vang for some real chillout cafes & nice substances to boot :P

    visit angkor in cambodia everyone who goes to cambodia does angkor.go to the rifle ranges [outside] of pnom pehn(if u wanna shoot a selection of animals) the ones close to pnom pehn dont do animal cruelty :p you can shoot rpgs etc too!

    cambodia is FAR cheaper than laos, but there is many tourist rip off spots in both countries, namely Vientienne(which theres nothing to do it sucks everything closed at 12!).

    me and friend picked up double rooms with fan, tv hot water bathroom etc for 2$ per night in many places in cambodia

    oh dont forget to visit that waterfall place in luang phrabang to go swimming see huge waterfalls tigers in cages etc.. unbelievable place, we got a guide/drugdealer to take us around the place all day.. we gave him a few dollars for a big bad of weedles, funny fellow
