    Yes I do.

I use it in work with Mozilla.

My inbox currently has 14460 mails in it. My total allocated mail storage (for all folders) is 688MB. I'm cleaning it at this very moment :)

I find imap to be a big improvement over pop.

IMAP is the business, it's such a pity no public ISPs choose to support it :(

I use e-mail courtesy of a friend who has a Fastprovider account so I get IMAP access through that. Our college e-mail also supports IMAP but you can only access the IMAP server internally because once I was a bad boy and did a port scan of all the machines in college looking for IMAP servers.

I use it in work and on any servers I set up. Best way to have your mail.

Hosting365 don't seem to support it but Blackknight does as far as I can see.

The company hosts its own mail. It's a fairly large company (> 300 employees in Ireland).

ISP's generally don't support IMAP because the files are stored server side.

Most email software supports IMAP including Outlook 2003.

Live is a different product. After searching I found the following.

Yes, using symbian application on nokia to work with IMAP corporate server.

Efficient even on a 16-24kb dialup with ssl, if you manage your folders well.
+ Access to company shared folders for faqs, howtos, new contacts.

    Also, host.ie support imap....

In work I set up an FBSD box to poll a pop3 account with fetchmail. It hands the mail to the posfix MTA which in turn passes to an imap server (dovecot).

The clients then pull their mail from this imap server...

Its handy in the sense that the clients can be set to pull headers only from the server first. If something looks dubious it can be deleted staright away.

The imap server also does aa nice job of storage and if the users mail client looses/corrupts its e.g. pst file, once re-setup again all the messages headers can be repolled.
