depends wholl be visiting the site.
only about 8% of users use 640X480 these days.. so whether you think theres a point in designing for that is up to you.. not worth it imo smile.gif

Well, mileage may vary, but here's what I get from browsers which support this non-standard script feature only remember:

    800x600 45.53%
    1024x768 31.35%
    640x480 15.17%
    1280x1024 2.99%
    Other 2.39%
    1152x864 2.13%
    1600x1200 0.39%

By coding all your dimensions in terms of percentages instead of pixels should make it look good on any resolution. No?

should be able to look good in anything.
practically, should look good in anything above 800x600.

    width wise percentages are grand..
but height wise your screwed because netscape and ie have different interpretations of what "available space" means when it comes to scaling tables/cells and images within them.

Percentages are all well and good for tables and such, but I wouldn't recommend them for frames, and if you design on 640*480 you have to be careful with yer font sizes to make 'em readable on 1280*1024 and up. Nuthin' worse than fonts that are too small.

Well. Not much. But, certainly there are some things better than it. Probably.
