    bit of a problem here...

on a friends new case he has two USB 2.0 ports on the front and was able to connect them to his mobo no problem

but the thing is they are only registering as USB 1.0

hes tried updating his drivers but it says there are no new versions available

heres a link to the case if it helps

any ideas on how to get them working properly??

What mobo is he using, are the USB headers USB2? The case seems fine so it should just work as long as the mobo is USB2.

I had a similar problem recently,
the mobo manual told me XP has all of the drivers needed (from sp1) so all i had to do was plug in the device and hey presto.>!..
    unfortunatly this never worked..

what did work was installing the drivers the mobo had provided for windows ME and 2000..
i dont know why this worked..but it did..

You could just give it a try, if they provided any legacy drivers try and install them..

[edit] if the ports on the back are working fine, then this information is useless to you.. you could always check wether the case usb connection is properly wired up to the mobo..
    [/edit]
