    Hello

DVD shrink wont read my primary drive, it says I have an error but I checked it, reinstalled it and I keep getting the error message.
This only happened when I got the 3.2 version so could it be a fault with that version.

Anyone know how to get across the region settings for your drives, its really annoying, I can only change the region on them one more time.
Is there any way to reset them?

    Regards
    Wildchild

You'll probably have to download a new BIOS for your drive, try looking for it at the RPC1 Forum

I've had version 3.2 of DVDShrink for months and had no problems - what error message are you getting?

It says my drive is not accessible, I checked the hardware settings and it works perfectly.
It plays dvds and works fine but when I use DVD shrink it prompts me with the error message.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the region settings

    Thanks

Not sure if it will help but you could try using Anydvd Free Trial it hides the region code of a DVD inserted into your drive and shows every disc as the region selected by you in the preferences.
AnyDVD is a driver, which descrambles DVD-Movies automatically in the background. This DVD appears unprotected and region code free for all applications and the Windows operating system as well. With AnyDVD's help copy tools like CloneDVD, Pinnacle Instant Copy, InterVideo DVD-Copy, etc. are able to copy CSS protected Movies. With the help of AnyDVD you can watch movies with non matching region codes with every DVD Player Software you like! AnyDVD decrypts not just DVDs: AnyDVD allows you also to play, copy and rip protected Audio CDs! ...SlySoft

This is more of a work-around than a solution. Download and install DVD Decryter. This program simply rips the VOB files from the DVD to your HD. If DVD Decryter has a problem accessing your DVD drive then the you should try uninstalling and re-installing it. Now use Shrink to compress the VOB files on your HD. Then write the compressed files to your DVD-R using your burning software.

I'd agree with above, I use AnyDVD and it works very well without the need to flash your optical drive ;-)
