Anyone else dissapointed that RTE are not showing classic films such as
"The Quiet Man" or "The Informer" for St Patricks Day. ok, rte2 are showing
Darby O Gill (8.50am) bravo! but come on, MOUSE HUNT?? (2.25PM) and
HOME ALONE?? (4.05pm) TG 4 great channel ,again no great irish classics.
THE SHEEPMAN (12.00PM) western and THE TIME MACHINE (5.15pm) science
fiction. and what about Anti Patricks Day TV3?? for shame  .

Ooh, good. RTE in "showing entertaining movie on Paddy's Day" shocker. Begorrah.

You'd rather they showed Flight Of The Doves again?

See they all realise everyone will be out looking at the Parade and then doing to mass. And sure when everyone realises they've missed the two hours of heaven that is the quiet man, well thats when they start complaining. Best to save it for a time when we're all in. Like a friday/saturday night.

ok, but what about TG4, at least they could have fitted The Quiet Man into their Schedule about 7 or 8pm :(

Seems appropriate. After all, thats how more and more people are choosing to watch the paddys day parade these days.
