Good places to stay in amsterdam?

    Im flying into amsterdam on the 11th April
    Goin with the girlfriend so a hostel is out of the question
    Can anybody suggest a decent Hotel to stay in thats not on the dear side yet still quite good? As near to the city centre as possible!

    Can only recommend hostels but have a look at www.hotels.com or www.hostels.com Some of the hostels you can get your own room so it can be cheap enough and still quite nice. Bulldog hostels are pretty much like hotels and you can get 2 person rooms.

    well i wouldnt mind a hostel as long as we had our own room

    You could try the globe hostel (they've a website) its in the red light and has 2person rooms etc.
