A thing for short hair.......

I know I'm not alone out there, so here's the question. Where have all the short hair girls gone? I know it's impossible for women to keep their hair the same/style for any length of time as they have read the magazines and all of sudden need to change it. Is there any hope for me or will it be heaven in spring but as soon as high fashion season comes, it'll be the latest pop teen/ cool ad/ de-rigeur do that will be the norm.

I never said I didn't like it personally.

i cut my a$$ length hair into about 3 inchs spikie pixie look and it was so pretty.....

its a bit longer now(trying a new style) but i've still got it short(ish)

I think it shows confidence for a girl to cut their hair short

I really like girls with hair as short as mine(ie about a 2blade)

but its not exactly a deal-breaker if a bird has long hair:)

Short hair on a girl has the potential to look really good, like that girl from the rules of attraction (Shannon Something) or really bad like Hilary Swank in boys dont cry.

I too have short hair, wouldn't exactly say it's practical though as it requires a lot more effort to style it than long hair did...but I definitely prefer it, and had no complaints from the boys yet either. Also wear glasses most of the time, which apparently adds to the appeal. I dunno, beauty is in the eye of the beholder really, isn't it?

Back when I had short hair I didn't do the whole hair styling thing, so my input may be slightly skewed, but I found it incredibly practical. I mean, you never, ever, get tangles, and it goes from dripping wet to perfectly dry in about an hour. My current hair can stay wet all day if it so desires.
I'd be tempted to go back to having short hair, but I think it wouldn't suit me at all, face shape wise and such.

i did serious stlye from a girl who did either down or pony tail to spending up to and over 30 mins a morning doing my hair!! now i can do the pony tail thing again(old habbits die hard)

Im sure most girls would like to try short hair for a while but heres the kicker, hair doesn grow very fast. If you get short hair and dont like it you're pretty much stuck with it for months.

am undecided if ill go back to having a short spiky do...it suits me but its soooo much effort....

up to a couple of months ago I had REALLY long hair... below my ass... in September it was brown wid red 'n copper hilights.
In october i dyed it all mad red
in november i dyed it a cool Blue-black colour
in December I ran out of ideas for making a statment wid it so I went to the hairdresses and had her cut it all off... it's now about an inch long
oh and since i cut it, it's been brown, red and black...
It will be green next week tho!!!!

SHORT HAIR ROCKS... it's so much easier to style... and cheapet to dye!!!!

There's a girl working in my local here in Prague with a wet-shaved bald head.

I was surprised, but it's damn sexeh. Not really that uncommon here either, and generally looks quite nice - but I think it takes a certain type of person for it to work properly.

It really takes a pretty face to pull it off well. Short hair draws the attention to the face/bone structure which can really highlight a well shaped face.

Imo, shaved = no. Try about 2 inches.

What paperclip said. 2-4 inches can look hot on some women. Emphasis on the word *some*. It's a yay or nay thing. Most women look awful with short hair, no women look "OK" with short hair.

Shorter than 2 inches (i.e. shaved) is not good looking on any women. Too butch for my liking. I like my women womanly.
