Try booting into safe mode and change it from there.

To get into safe mode hold F8 as the PC is starting then chose safe mode from the menu.

i've had this happen to me a few times with bios update files. Bit of an odd error (in my case I wanted to delete the files).

I found emptying the folder of anything important, and then deleting the folder with the file in it (not looking at what was in the folder at all), allowed me to delete. Maybe just delete it and re-download?

whats the name of the file, what does it do??

i assume you've rebooted -> then gone directly to the file to rename it without running it..
    i know its a little obvious..but...

    re-download?

Its a big file(over 700mb) so i dont want to really download it again..Yes i have tried renaming it after i reboot the machine...the name of the game is fm05.When i downloaded it..it was called fm05.bin

Did you download it with a .cue file by any chance?
..if so you could burn it off..
but thats beside the point i guess..

Have you tried ciarans suggestion of safe mode?
and are you logged in a administrator when you try to kill the process?
Have you tried to kill off every unecessary process?

    sorry couldnt be more help..

I'm suprised about how many people get this far that can't either figure out the .nfo file or look online for help.

So should help him or leave him short 700mb of HDD space :D

    Muppet.

Don't come here looking for help with your warez. What you're doing is illegal. This is your first (and only) warning. Next time you'll be banned.
