Looooooong Trousers

Anyone know where I can find a pair? I have searched the entirety of Dublin and have found one shop that fits me. And that's in the man sizes. (retro, Georges St. Arcade) It's getting embarrassing. I'm 5 11" (6 foot with shoes) and it's all in my legs. I have that gangly teen shape thing going on too, size 8/6 waist and 10/12 hips. Leaving myself entirely in the capable hands of the hip boardsters.....now. ;)

Top Shop do really loooong trousers. I'm 5'10" and have had to take up some of their trousers coz they were way way waaay too long for me.

I'm 5"11 too, best place has to be marks n' sparks, dorothy perkins or some random baggy jean shops in town.

    Too short. Sad, but true.

And YES I'm female! Why do people keep asking me that......

Ah - I was going to make recommendations on where to get mens longs trousers - but its wasted here.

Unfortunately, even 36" leg trousers aren't really long enough for me - I'm 6'4" and its all in the legs...

Going to New York next week - hopefully I'll find somewhere that sells 34" / 38" trousers - but I'm not going to hold out hope.

I'm sorry, I can't help you, but you didn't happen to see a guys pair of 28"/34" jeans during your search? I'll keep a lookout for long trousers for you though

Maybe try "Long Tall Sally" in Clearys? also in Belfast.

I always find topshop "tall" range excelent for long legs.

Yep - I've seen them in a few places.

Try upstairs in Roches Stores in the Ilac centre, the only pair of perfectly fitting jeans I own I got from there -- 33" / 36" boot-cut, and they're just about long enough, although they were pretty damn expensive. Perfection is relative after all :p

I also got a nice pair of black jeans, they're a bit baggy but close enough to what I was looking for - can't remember where I got them but the washing label on the inside has www.hoipolloi.com written on it, so it might be worth a go...

Yes, we are both women - hence the reference to Top Shop, and not Top Man :p

If the Top Shop trousers aren't long enough, then maybe try tallgirls.co.uk - they do 36" leg stuff.

Found America to be mostly disappointing on the tall clothes front -- they seem to go more for extreme waist sizes than extreme tall sizes. However, Old Navy, despite being a crap shop for most things do damn good, if unexciting, 34/36 boot cut jeans that are long. Hard to find the shopping if you don't research in advance though - its all in out of town malls...

Also, while size EUR48 shoes were thin on the ground, they had plenty of cheap socks for me (which can only be got here from Marks and Spencer, at €5 a pair).

Whats up with river islands sizes??? Their 34" leg jeans etc are way way too short for me and im a 34" leg. They are seriously skimping on material me thinks. 34" legs for a girl isnt that unusual these days but its so hard to find jeans and trousers, and dont even get me started on tracksuit bottoms for the gym!! I tried every sport shop in dublin city and couldnt find a pair long enough. Long Tall Sally sucks too, its all really old fashioned stuff in their shop in clerys in town. Top Shop tall section is ok occasionaly but most of the time they only stock ugly clothes. Also their tall section seems to be getting smaller and smaller :o( bring on summer so my trousers will look normal as 3/4 lengths!

Yes! I have that problem too! The only ones that even close to fix are stupidly baggy. I cycle to work in tracksuit bottoms that are only 3/4 length on me and make up the difference with long socks - which looks really silly except since you're wearing a huge flourescent jacket to start with it doesn't make a huge amount of difference.

Of course, shorts season's just around the corner - and then long legs are a real bonus :D
