Unfortunately I'm doing chemistry which I hate with a fiery passion now! I actually liked it last year. Don't know what happened. Biology is my fav- it's so interesting with our teacher. Did you know in london with so many woman on the pill, when they go to the toilet and the waste is reused as drinking water the males drink it and become more feminine! Chicken for chinese restaurants is grown in slabs now! Yum! In Brazil baby powder was contaminated and gave the babies breasts including the boys. How cruel is that! Now doesn't our class sound fun! And did you know you could be born with a tail and not know about it! People go ask your parents!

The obvious (English, Irish, Maths) and the not-so-obvious (Spanish, Chemistry, Biology, Classical Studies), all higher level

I was doing Applied Maths before and I LOVED it, especially the questions with the pulleys - unfortunately, I sucked majorly at exam questions and dropped it cos I need the time for other stuff. It was either that or Classics that had to go, I need everything else, and I'm emotionally attached to Classics!!

Biology wasn't in the poll btw - how come?

We had the best LCVP teacher in the world, she was the nicest person ever and she went and got pregnant so we're left with a really weird sub right before the portfolio has to be in...

    I'm so confusd!!!!
I like Geo but I'm bad at it.
I like History but I'm TERRIBLE at it.
I'm great at Woodwork (Construction in LC), but I despise it.
I'm gonna do a Business subject but I dunno which.
I'm stuck between the Science subjects.
I really like Maths and want to do Applied Maths.

But all them added with Eng, Irish and Maths makes 10 subjects!!!!!!!

What to do? What to do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

Well...Don't do history or geography. Unless you're both passionate and have an aptitude for the subject I wouldn't bother.
You're good at maths - do accounting and physics.
Applied Maths is really easy, do that too.
Maybe another science? Chemistry isn't too bad.
And you kinda need a language too.

Not at all useless. Learned a bloody load about CVs, interviews, workers rights, etc that I'd never have known. Much more useful to me than geography! :)

Make sure you have a decent teacher though. The thing with most of the applied maths problems is there's a piss easy way to do the problem and a seriously hard way to do the problem. It helps when you've a decent teacher to point out the piss easy way to you.

Applied maths is the best subject. If you are a fan of using your brain instead of mindlessy spouting boring facts then its for you.

    Applied Maths
    Biology
    Chemistry
