Dell laptop monitor trouble

    Hey guys,
I've got 15.4" TFT on my laptop (its widescreen). Its been running fine since I bought it, about 8 months ago. But 2 days ago I noticed a bad pixel. Nothing too wrong with that, seen as its only one. But then I noticed that the horizontal line that the pixel is on is faulty as well, as in, there is one faulty pixel, that is permanently on, and for some reason the entire line that it is on is also faulty but instead of being red, its white. Its not too noticeable until you play a game or watch a movie and there's this white line through the picture. I'm pretty sure its only a pixel wide.
So my question is has any one had a similar problem, and what did it take to fix it? I'm not sure if its a connection problem, or if the screen is actually damaged or what. The monitor is still under warranty but its only the one year collect and return. Would that cover it?
