    www.archive.org has some legal live mp3s...

    what kind..and im assuming your looking for legal..otherwise TERRRIBLE things will happen.. and stuff..

    Took your advice with easytree, downloaded the bit torrent but having problems I don’t understand what seeding is I cant find help on the site. Any help greatly appreciated .

    Shareaza is a fairly good peer to peer app for downloading music as well as a lot of other stuff. Uses the Gnutella2 network as it's primary network, can also connect eDonkey2000 (good for really big downloads, i.e divx etc), Gnutella & use bittorrent as well (haven't used the bittorrent with it myself but there's a lot of tutorials, wiki's as well as a large community forum to help). You can download the app at www.shareaza.com, only a couple of mb I think.

    Allofmp3.com is a good site for getting cheap mp3s, not quite free but the next best thing.
