Weights VS Cardio

    Hey,

Question for those who know -

I've been training pretty hard for the last while, and have been using some MassFactor by EAS to compliment this. I'm quite slim, but will put on unwanted weight if I don't excercise, whereas I find it excrutiatingly difficult to put on lean weight. Herein lies my problem.

I've cut back on Cardio for the last couple of weeks to try to give my muscle gains the best chance. This is killing me though.. I hate the thought of not excercising, and I also don't want to end up with a gut!

So my question is, what's the best cardio to do, without ruining the work I'm doing on the weights.

    Cheers for any advice,

    Kev.

Fast walking on an incline would be your best bet for keeping off fat while lean bulking.

Thanks for that.. Next question.. Should it be before or after working out? Wouldn't doing it before working out mean my muscles would be weakened and hence not respond as well when I do work out?
But then having said that, when taking a supplement, it's recommended you take it as soon after working out as possible, so a 20-30min delay while excercising might work against you.. Any thoughts?

    Cheers,

    Kev.

Do any cardio after your weights workout, you can sip a maltodextrin and protein shake while doing cardio if you want.

Im in a fairly similiar situation to the threadstarter, however Im wondering how much damage does a small amount of more intensive cardio do to muscles? I do about 20 minutes running 4 days a week to keep relatively in shape / not fat, is this likely to have a massive effect on muscle gain/loss?

    Oh please!!
If i do cardio it will kill my mass MANNNN!
Get going on the cardio and as long as you are not totally out of breath (use a heart rate monitor) perform at least 30mins of aerobic exercise 3-4 days per week.

Of course all of it will be futile if you continue to eat junk foods

What I meant by 'It's killing me' is that I hate not doing it. By choice I would run for 20-30mins per session in the gym. I just don't want to reverse the effects of weight training etc..
