I really REALLY need to save an episode of prime time, I forgot but at least its still available online. So I go there right, but I cant save it to me hard drive, i try a screen recorder and that just gives me this black square. weird. Now I know I could connect my PC to a vcr and record it that way but there has to be an easier way. Any help?

hmm, not really a media related question, probably better in computers. I'm sure there's a way to save a streaming video file without the whole vcr thing, and if there is they'll probably know over there.

If memory serves there's something in the free software thread that covers this. There's definitely a way to do it allright. You might be able to download the ram file directly for local viewing later.

Try getting the URL of the video file (probably .ram or something, but it doesn't matter) and use Net Transport to download it: http://www.xi-soft.com/default.htm

It's always able to download audio streams from Real Player for me, video might be a challenge though but it's worth a shot.

Streambox VCR might be worth looking for too.
