6800LE vs 9800pro

    Hey all,
    just had a quick question about these cards. I recently (ie yesterday) upgraded from a 9800pro 128 to a geforce 6800LE 128. I know the main difference between GT's & LE's is the LE uses les spipelines, but was wondering if anyone could give me an idea as to whether the LE is anyway more powerful than my old 9800.
    I used rivatuner to unlock the extra pipelines and got an enormous fps boost in doom 3 (from 27 fps w/ 9800 to 50) but got bad grapical corruption (d3 doesnt like oc'd cards apparrently), same kind of corruption on far cry/hl2, any kind of way to stop this? (probably not but i thought id ask anyway!)
    Basically if theres not much difference between the 9800 & the LE ill probably sell it and get a GT...any advice? cheers :D

    I have the 6800LE too.
    I can't offer a comparison to your card, but I had the same issues when using Rivatuner to unlock the pipes on this card.
    I've looked into it, online, and it appears this is common and it's basically pot-luck if your card can unlock well or not. I think it's getting harder to get cards that do unlock well as the manufacturers have cottoned on to this and are doing whatever it is they do to stop people getting something for nothing.

    Yeah its a pain in the hole, getting these amazing fps boosts by unlocking the pipelines, only to have horrible corruption on the screen. I knew Doom didnt like OC'd cards, cause i tried OC'ing my 9800 and got the same, i just figured it was doom, wasnt expecting it on all games tho :(
