I have TiBook 800 MHz restore CDs, dunno if they're suitable though.

No, AFAIK the Mac will be rejected by the disks... As an aside, does anyone know if Apple still distribute OS9 disks, and if so is it hard to install on a system (the TiBook) with Panther already on?

    Thanks, anyway ;-)

    I also have 9.2.2 (?) I think, 9.2 something anyway.

I get nothing but error messages using an OS9 copy I already have. Not too sure where I'm going wrong - I've assumed that the disk formatting is incorrect...

When you're formatting the OS X drive, there's an option to install OS 9 drivers on it as well, which will subsequently allow you to instal OS 9. It's possible that that option WASN'T selected when your drive was formatted, therefore giving errors. I'm not all that sure what happens though, I know I managed to f*ck up a perfectly good OS X installation by tring to put on Classic afterwards, so be careful. Maybe a trip to Apple Support is in order...

Anyway, I can lend you the disks if you want, I'm in Dublin 2 during the day.
